About me and my practice
I work with people in their 20's and 30's whose anxiety and overthinking impact their work, relationships, and other areas of life. Maybe you appear calm or fine to others, but internally you're feeling stressed and tired. Maybe anxiety gets in the way of what you want or need to do - this may look like procrastinating, struggling to say no or what you really mean, or finding it difficult to make decisions because you worry you won't do things the right way. The thoughts and feelings you are experiencing may feel out of control - you may be overthinking, fearing the worst-case scenario or blaming yourself - and this can be overwhelming to navigate alone. Your usual coping strategies may be to stay busy and just push through without asking for help, but this comes at a cost: you're likely exhausted.
Our work is to help you better understand and manage your thoughts and feelings so that they feel less overwhelming. Whether your anxiety has been an ongoing issue or has recently intensified, together we can explore what may be happening under the surface. My clients say that working with me has helped them to feel calmer, better equipped to face the challenges in their lives, and more able to approach their relationships with clarity and intentionality. I work with you by drawing from a variety of perspectives (person-centred, psychodynamic, CBT) depending on your personality, needs, and preferences.
